Best Time to Visit & How to Reach

Best time to visit: October to March is ideal for beaches and temples. Waterfalls such as Jog Falls are at their best from August to December. Sea activities pause during the monsoon (June–September).

How to reach: Mangalore and Hubli have airports and railway stations, and Goa is a convenient alternative start point. Konkan Railway also connects Udupi, Murudeshwar and Gokarna.

Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Hubli – Sirsi

Pick up from Hubli airport / railway station and drive to Sirsi (approx. 100 km). Visit the Marikamba Temple. Overnight stay in Sirsi.

Day 2

Yana Rocks & Jog Falls

After breakfast, visit the striking black limestone rocks of Yana, then drive to Jog Falls, one of India's highest plunge waterfalls (best after the monsoon). Return to Sirsi. Overnight stay in Sirsi.

Day 3

Sirsi to Murudeshwar

Drive to Murudeshwar (approx. 110 km). Visit the giant Shiva statue, the temple gopuram and Murudeshwar Beach. Optional Netrani Island snorkelling (seasonal). Overnight stay in Murudeshwar.

Day 4

Murudeshwar to Gokarna

Drive to Gokarna (approx. 80 km). Visit Mahabaleshwar Temple and the Om, Kudle and Half Moon beaches. Overnight stay in Gokarna.

Day 5

Gokarna to Karwar

Drive to Karwar (approx. 60 km). Visit Rabindranath Tagore Beach, the INS Chapal Warship Museum and Sadashivgad Fort at the Kali river mouth. Overnight stay in Karwar.

Day 6

Karwar to Dandeli

Drive to Dandeli (approx. 110 km). Enjoy white-water rafting or kayaking on the Kali River (seasonal, at own cost), Syntheri Rocks and Kavala Caves. Overnight stay in Dandeli.

Day 7

Dandeli to Hubli – Departure

After breakfast, drive to Hubli (approx. 75 km) for drop at the airport / railway station. Tour ends with happy memories.
